The last Borders Bookstore in Chicago will close Wednesday and the stores in the suburban area will also close by Sunday.

The Michigan-based retailer announced that they would be filing for bankruptcy in February and have¬† been closing stores since then. A local company has announced that they have helped in the chain’s liquidation process and will donate 8,000 academic books in public schools in Chicago.
