County supervisor in Iowa files for bankruptcy

The supervisor in Black Hawk County has filed for chapter 13 bankruptcy after claiming that he owes more than $10 million to 45 creditors.

The supervisor owes more than $6.7 million to one of their largest creditors, Lincoln Savings Bank. The man said that he filed for bankruptcy in order to give him a chance to regroup.

According to court documents, the man’s assets are $590,000. The man has been a part of several businesses and he claims that a 2008 flood ruined several of his properties and sent him into bankruptcy.
