A federal judge has stated that the confirmation hearing for the Tribune Co. will not occur until May. Officials involved in the three-year bankruptcy filing that the case will end in a few months so that they can begin to emerge from bankruptcy.

The Tribune Co. is the parent company to the Los Angeles Time, the Chicago Tribune and other newspaper and media outlets.

An issue in the case arose when the large creditors disagreed on the company should be reorganized. Many think that if an agreement could be made here, the bankruptcy filing would end much sooner.
